Punk Supergroup With Green Day, Rancid and SWMRS Members Release Song

Armstrongs—an East Bay supergroup featuring Billie Joe (Green Day), Tim (Operation Ivy/Rancid/Transplants), Joey (SWMRS), and Rey Armstrong have released “If There Was Ever a Time” via Hellcat Records, Armstrongs will donate 100 percent of proceeds to 924 Gilman: a DIY, nonprofit, all-ages venue for music, art, and community events in Berkeley, California.
 
“Anything that has to do with working with Gilman and Tim and Joey Armstrong, consider me in,” says Billie Joe. “This is about our home and family. Viva Armstrong!”

A powerful punk anthem of unity, “If There Was Ever a Time” was recently featured in the documentary Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk
 
“It was exciting to work on this song with Billie and crew for the film,” says Tim. “Stoked to share the tune with everyone out there and to be donating all the proceeds to Gilman, which is a place so near, dear, and important to us.”
 
“If There Was Ever a Time” will be available everywhere on July 28. In addition, a run of flexi-disc singles (limited to just 1,000 copies) will be sold via Pirates Press and available for purchase here only http://smarturl.it/ArmstrongsFlexi.
