PUP Release New Songs ‘Kill Something’ And ‘Waiting’
Ferocious Canadian punks PUP return with not one, but two new heavy hitting tracks!
The band have shared new songs “Kill Something,” which is about frontman Stefan Babcock’s dog Moose and “Waiting,” which features Kathryn McCaughey of NOBRO.
“Waiting came about by smashing the heaviest riff Nestor [Chumak] could write with the simplest, most uplifting chorus I could write, just to see what would happen,” says Babcock.
“The results were very quintessentially PUP, in that the song is a flurry of darkness and anger through the joyous lens of four guys just happy to be here, four guys who don’t take themselves seriously enough to make music that doesn’t feel like fun, regardless of the subject matter.”

PUP also announced dates for their 2022 North American tour. Shows start February 7th in Winnipeg and wrap up May 14th in Toronto. Cloud Nothings, Pinkshift, Sheer Mag, Billy Talent and NOBRO will appear on select dates. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 12th at 10 AM local time. See all the dates below.
PUP recently recorded a rendition of Metallica’s “Holier Than Thou” for The Metallica Blacklist covers LP. Last year, they released the This Place Sucks Ass EP, the follow-up to their 2019 album Morbid Stuff.
