The Hives Drop Two New Singles ‘Trapdoor Solution’ And ‘The Bomb’

The Hives‘ first album in over a decade, The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons, arrives next week. In anticipation of its release, the band have shared not one but two new songs: “Trapdoor Solution” and “The Bomb.”

“Felt generous, might delete later. We have unleashed two new songs of insane sensory overload loud annoying fast rub the wrong way punk rock total annihilation brutality,” the band said about the new songs.

“Still world leaders in this field where very few bands rightfully see the need or use in going. Listener discretion advised. Chris Dangerous firmly reclaiming his throne in the fast hi-hat 8 note world championship leaving most of the competition in the rehearsal space. (Probably some asshole on YouTube who is faster but he is not Chris so will inevitably lose on style points).”

Stream the new songs below.

The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons arrives August 11th. Pre-order it here.

The Hives will celebrate the album’s release with a string of UK shows in Glasgow, Bristol, Liverpool, and Leeds. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 4th. Check out the dates below.
