Hawthrone Heights to perform with full symphony on inaugural Emo Orchestra tour
Emo is going classical…kind of. The inaugural Emo Orchestra is going on tour this fall with special guests Hawthorne Heights.
Created by Ben Mench-Thurlow, the Emo Orchestra is touted as a “perfectly designed tribute to the music that shaped emo fans when the genre first exploded but is tailored to the people its fans have become in the years since.”
The set will feature covers of emo staples by Fall Out Boy, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, Sunny Day Real Estate, and of course, Hawthorne Heights. The tour starts September 27th in Cincinnati, Ohio, and wraps up November 11th in Oakland, California. Tickets currently on sale.
Proud to announce the inaugural EMO ORCHESTRA, featuring @HawthorneHgts, September 27 – November 11!

L.S. Dunes unveil new song ‘Benadryl Subreddit’
L.S. Dunes released their debut album last year and they’re already back with new music. The band have shared their new standalone single “Benadryl Subreddit.”
“Benadryl’s title comes from a conversation that [My Chemical Romance’s] Mikey Way and I were having one night on tour about sober guys finding out legal ways of getting high without doing actual drugs and messing with their sobriety,” explains Frank Iero.
“The music for this song came about when I knew we were going into the desert to record with Alex Newport at Rancho De La Luna. I had just received a new guitar in the mail from Ben Wasser at Guitarworks called the ‘Shaft’ and I got to thinking about the desert and what I thought that guitar should sound like in that setting. That riff came out immediately. Benadryl Subreddit represents the heat of the day out in the desert, sweating bullets and going fast.”
“In the early stages of the demo it was clear this song needed to be recorded and released sooner than many of the other songs we’ve been working on,” continues Travis Stever. “It captures an energy for the moment. It’s hard to keep hold of the energy and aim from demo to final recordings. I feel like with Alex Newport we did it!”
“Frank sent this infectious riff, and I immediately knew what I was going to play,” adds Tucker Rule. “The chemistry of this band is undeniable, and I love it so much.”

Underoath drop catchy new single ‘Lifeline (Drowning)’
Before embarking on their US tour, Underoath have released their new single “Lifeline (Drowning).”
Though the song is melodic and undeniably catchy, it’s meant to be “a cry for help,” according to the band.“I feel like we’ve all been there, be it as simple as miscommunication or a full on toxic relationship – that very feeling that you cannot tread water like this any longer or you may end up drowning. We wanted to create a song centered around the melody that could still hold the energy of a full blown heavy song.”
