AC/DC Tease New Song ‘Shot In The Dark’

A day after confirming their return, AC/DC have shared a snippet of their new song “Shot In the Dark.”

The 30-second teaser is classic AC/DC all the way with an unmistakable guitar riff as frontman Brian Johnson leads his iconic vocals to the catchy hook. Listen to it below.

“Shot In the Dark” marks the band’s first new material since their 2014 album, Rock Or Bust.

Yesterday (Sept. 30), AC/DC confirmed the reunited lineup of Angus Young (lead guitar), Brian Johnson (lead vocals), Cliff Williams (bass guitar), Phil Rudd (drums), and Stevie Young (rhythm guitar) along with the title of what appears to be their new album, PWR/UP. Posted across their social media channels, the caption reads “ARE YOU READY? #PWRUP.”

Previously, the band shared an image of a neon light in the shape of the lightning bolt from the band’s logo flickering on. The band’s website was also updated to pwrup.acdc.com, where information on the album is slowly being revealed. A PWR/UP poster has also been spotted outside of Angus Young’s old high school in Australia.

While a release date for the album hasn’t been revealed, a graphic on the band’s website includes “7-12,” hinting at a December 7th release.
