Green Day Joins iHeartRadio Music Festival Lineup

The iHeartRadio Music Festival just got bigger. Green Day have announced they will perform at this year’s festival on September 20th.

The band made the announcement on ALT 98.7 Los Angeles’ The Woody Show. During the interview, they also talked about the Hella Mega tour, the new album, and working with Morriessy. Watch it below.

Green Day previously played the festival in 2012, which saw frontman Billie Joe Armstrong ranting about the remaining time for their set and ended with him smashing his guitar. Shortly afterward, Armstrong entered rehab for alcohol and prescription drug abuse.

Others appearing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival include Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Camila Cabello, Chance The Rapper, Def Leppard, Halsey, H.E.R., Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Tim McGraw and more. See the full lineup at theĀ iHeartRadio site.

iHeartRadio Music Festival takes place September 20th and 21st at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Get tickets here.
