Marilyn Manson Shares Gritty Rendition Of ‘God’s Gonna Cut You Down’

Marilyn Manson has shared his cover of the classic American folk song “God’s Gonna Cut You Down.”

The song’s accompanying black and white video, directed by Tim Mattia and shot in Joshua Tree, features shots of Manson on a hotel bed alternating between holding a guitar and holding a shotgun. Throughout we see him walking through the desert towards an unmarked grave. Watch it below.

“God’s Gonna Cut You Down” will be released as a limited picture disc featuring one of Manson’s original watercolor paintings. Pre-order a copy here. Manson previously said he’s working on his follow up to 2017’s Heaven Upside Down that should be out later this year.

Marilyn Manson is currently on his North American tour, which wraps up in November. Check out his dates here.
