PVRIS Unleash New Song ‘LOVE IS A…’

PVRIS have shared their new single “LOVE IS A…” taken from their upcoming album EVERGREEN.

Band leader Lyndsey Gunnulfsen reveals the song is “inspired by the French phrase ‘la petite mort’ aka the ‘little death.’” Listen to the song below.

EVERGREEN drops July 14 via Hopeless Records. Gunnulfsen calls it “a reclamation of control in our post-pandemic culture, posing a complex discussion on fame, technology, spectacle, and female autonomy.”

“If you search the definition of ‘evergreen,’ you will find words like: enduring, timeless, fresh, unlimited, and renewal,” she says. “In our modern culture where everything is online, algorithm-based, and instantaneous, it feels like timelessness, longevity and connection could someday become dying concepts. More than ever, PVRIS has, and always will be anti-formula, anti-virality, and anti-instant gratification.”

Pre-order the album here.

PVRIS will on the road this summer to play Slam Dunk Festival and Sad Summer Festival. Following that they’ll be touring with Poppy on the “Godless/Goddess Tour.” Check out all their dates here.
